SLAT2022 Preparation Tips
- Practice mock test
Candidates should spend as much time as possible on questions based on the SLAT 2022 topics in order to do well on the test. Clarifying topics first and then taking fake exams is the greatest strategy to prepare mock tests. Candidates should prepare independently for each topic. Candidates should prepare at least two mock examinations every day designed by BYJU’s Exam Prep, coupled with a review of the curriculum, in the last 15 days before the exam.
- Check previous year question paper
Candidates may review prior years’ SLAT test analyses to learn more about the kind of questions given, the degree of difficulty, and other data regarding the exam. This will aid students in comprehending the pattern of questions answered in previous years’ exams. Candidates may also analyse and prepare the parts as needed.
Exam Pattern for the SLAT 2022 – Writing Ability Test
In addition, the SIU will administer a Writing Ability Test (WAT) to applicants who will be participating in SLAT 2022. The WAT is held immediately after the admission examination. The WAT round will take 30 minutes to complete for each participant. Candidates are asked to exhibit their writing abilities in this portion by writing about a subject that has been provided to them.
Current legal, political, and social issues, as well as more general issues such as gender development, computer and information technology, and education, among other things, can be included in WAT. A total of two themes will be provided to candidates, from which they will have to choose one and write an essay in response to it.
For example:
- Information and communication technology (ICT) and its use in the Indian judicial system
- In India, the law has shown a plethora of colours of dignity for women. Women, on the other hand, continue to be shackled by patriarchal prejudice, assault, and exploitation.

SLAT is a standardised entrance exam administered by Symbiosis International University for admission to all of its affiliated law schools. The entrance exam, on the other hand, is just a portion of the SLAT selection process; it is followed by a writing ability test (WAT) and a series of personal interviews (PI). The PI round is handled independently by each of the law schools in attendance. Candidates that pass the admission test are invited to participate in the preliminary interview. Candidate performance in the entrance test, WAT round, and PI round are all taken into consideration before a decision is made on their admission.
